Carp is Carpinteria California which is about 10 minutes away from Santa Barbara. We loved it.
Every time I read a story about what's going on in Manitoba, my heart contracts. Good luck and keep those sump pumps going.

Marjorie: What a shock to come home to!! We, in Manitoba, are holding our breath because of the flood threat. However, we are out in the country, and although close to the Assiniboine River, seems like we have no threat. In Winnipeg it is a differenct story. Thousands of people have been placing sandbags and helping any way they can. The machines that break up the ice are having problems as the ice is 3 feet thick in some places. Still everyone is holding their breath and hope that things progress smoothly. Our families are in Winnipeg but not threatened so far.

Where is Carp Bay? It looks lovely. Marjorie
