When Deacon was planting, most of the young plants were not in bloom. That meant he often had to rely on written colour descriptions, which can be subjective or just plain wrong. So there?s been some shifting around to keep both the colours and scale of the plants as he wants them. For instance, a cup plant in the yellow section grew 12 feet tall and looked ridiculously out of place, so it was moved to the back of the Big Border, where it fits right in with other statuesque plants.
